We recently carried out a DY14 VHF antenna system installation for a customer in Abel’s Bay, a quiet, coastal area where consistent TV signal reception can often be difficult due to the landscape and distance from transmission towers.
The client had been dealing with poor and unreliable free-to-air television reception, especially on VHF channels, which are commonly used in regional Tasmania. After an on-site assessment, we determined that the DY14 VHF antenna was the most appropriate solution for their location, offering high gain performance across the required frequency range.

We installed the new antenna system using a heavy-duty mast, reinforced with guy wires to provide added stability in high wind conditions. Quality RG6 quad-shield coaxial cable was used throughout the system to minimise signal loss and maintain excellent picture quality inside the home.
Once the system was installed, we performed a full signal test and channel scan to confirm that all major digital TV channels were being received with strong signal strength and clarity. The customer now enjoys trouble-free viewing, with no more pixelation or signal dropout.
If you’re in a rural or fringe area like Abel’s Bay, having the right antenna setup is essential to access reliable digital TV services. Our team specialises in selecting and installing the right system for your location and needs.
