This project involved the installation of a new VHF antenna system at a property in Oakdowns, providing the homeowners with reliable free-to-air television reception through a professionally installed rooftop antenna.
For suburban homes, antenna placement can be just as important as the antenna itself. With neighbouring homes, rooflines and surrounding terrain all influencing signal quality, selecting the right installation point helps ensure the strongest possible reception while maintaining a neat and unobtrusive appearance.

For this installation, the VHF antenna was mounted on a galvanised roof bracket positioned close to the roof ridge, providing an elevated location without the need for a tall mast. This approach offers excellent stability while allowing the antenna to achieve clear reception above the surrounding rooftops. The mounting hardware was securely fixed to the roof structure, with attention given to both durability and weather resistance.
The antenna was then carefully aligned to optimise signal strength, helping deliver reliable access to free-to-air television channels while reducing the likelihood of pixelation, signal dropouts and reception issues.
The completed installation provides the homeowners with a tidy, professionally installed VHF antenna system that’s designed to deliver dependable performance for many years to come.
