This project involved the installation of a Starlink satellite internet system together with a long-range WiFi distribution network, providing reliable internet access across approximately 30 acres of rural property in Richmond.
For larger properties, fast internet inside the home is only part of the solution. Workshops, sheds, stables, guest accommodation and other outbuildings are often located well beyond the range of a standard WiFi router. A professionally designed wireless distribution system ensures the Starlink connection can be accessed wherever it’s needed across the property.
For this installation, the Starlink dish was mounted on a heavy-duty roof mast to provide an unobstructed view of the sky and maximise connection reliability. A long-range wireless network was then installed to distribute that internet connection across the wider property, creating dependable coverage well beyond the main residence.
Reliable property-wide internet has become increasingly important for remote work, security camera systems, smart farming equipment, communications and everyday online use. By combining Starlink with a professionally installed long-range WiFi network, the owners now have fast internet available across approximately 30 acres without the need for extensive underground cabling.
The completed installation provides high-speed satellite internet together with seamless WiFi coverage, delivering a practical networking solution tailored to the needs of a large rural property.
