This project involved the installation of a Starlink satellite internet system at a property in Nubeena, providing the homeowners with a fast, reliable internet connection through a professionally installed rooftop system.
With its elevated position overlooking the surrounding landscape, this property offered an ideal location for a Starlink installation. Even so, selecting the right mounting position was important to ensure the dish had an uninterrupted view of the sky while remaining secure and unobtrusive.
Rather than using a tall mast, the Starlink dish was installed on a low-profile roof mount with twin support braces. This mounting method provides excellent stability while keeping the installation neat and visually discreet. It also allows the dish to sit above the roofline without adding unnecessary height, making it a practical solution where the surrounding terrain already offers good satellite visibility.
Attention was also given to the finer details of the installation. The cabling was neatly secured and protected, and all mounting hardware was installed to suit the metal roof, ensuring the system is built for long-term reliability in Tasmania’s coastal climate.
